Welcome to PFLAG Hampton!

Excuse our mess while we prepare everything!

PFLAG is the nation's largest family and ally organization, with over 350 communities (and growing!) across the U.S. and abroad. Uniting people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) with families, friends, and allies, PFLAG is committed to advancing equality and full societal affirmation of LGBTQ people through its threefold mission of support, education, and advocacy.

PFLAG Hampton offers support by hosting monthly meetings  across north-eastern Connecticut for parents, family, and allies of LGBTQ people and LGBTQ people themselves. Although we are a brand-new chapter, we already are lucky to have a lending library available, and are hoping to expand our support network within the coming year. Most importantly, we offer comfort and resources: For those coming out, for those struggling with a family member or friend coming out, and for those making the transition.

PFLAG Hampton provides education for and about LGBTQ people and their families.  One of our major goals is to work to  dispel misconceptions and misinformation in society about LGBTQ people, and to inform and educate others about the particular needs and challenges they face.

PFLAG Hampton is also about advocacy for LGBTQ people and their families. Nationwide, PFLAG has been an important part in conversations with lawmakers about LGBTQ people and rights, and work for equality in schools, the workplace, housing, and in medical care.

Through these three guidelines of support, education, and advocacy, PFLAG Hampton's goal is to  make our communities healthier, safer, and happier place for LGBTQ people and thfamily and friends. Please explore our website! Send us an email, ask questions, come to meetings, and see what we here at PFLAG Hampton are able to  do for you!
